The district itself is steeped in history and is home to the Zizkov Tower featuring the installation art of acclaimed Czech artist, D. Cerny as well as the National Monument with its equestrian statue of Jan Zizka on horseback - the largest equestrian statue in the world. The area is also home to many beautiful parks and a cosmopolitan nightlife with an abundance of clubs, bars and pubs. The area boasts the highest density of pubs anywhere in Europe so you'll be spoilt for choice. There are also a wide variety of local stores, boutiques and international shops on offer as well as grocers selling local produce. The Palac Akropolis is recognised as being the focal point for cultural events in the area but the apartment is situated only a few tram stops (15 minutes on foot) from Wenceslas Square in the New Town of Prague.
The apartment itself is housed in an art-deco building constructed in 1910 and features high vaulted ceilings and easy access due to its location on the ground floor. The space is light and airy with windows along the northern aspect of the property letting in an abundance of natural light. The property is sympathetically decorated and finished using high quality natural materials and offers all modern conveniences including an Apple iMac, iPod dock/speakers and high speed wireless Internet access at no extra charge. The rooms themselves are well proportioned and all feature en-suite facilities incorporating a shower room with power shower, wash basin and toilet. The master bedroom has a double bed while the second room features two single beds for maximum flexibility. The apartment has been configured with two couples or a family (with children) in mind yet still remains cosy for a smaller occupancy.
